Our Story
Bilsham Stores has been the heart of Yapton village life for over 130 years. The building itself dates back to at least 1778, recorded in Land Tax records as part of Cinders Farm on Bilsham Road.
The store first appeared in Kelly's Trade Directories in 1895, with George Chandler listed as Grocer and Dairyman — a tradition of serving the local community that has continued ever since.
In March 2026, Bhogal Stores Ltd took over the reins, bringing fresh energy to this much-loved village store while honouring its long history as "The Stores for Value."
